Nathan Yung is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Hospital Medicine at UCSD Health with interests in public health, hospital operations, and clinical informatics. He joined UC San Diego Health as a Clinical Informatics Fellow focusing on physician workflow assessments, quality improvement, and served as Physician Data Cloud Product Manager for the UCSD Health Center for Health Innovation (CHI). Joining faculty and transitioning to Principal Clinical Informaticist for the CHI, he co-led MLOps and AI infrastructure development in addition to his Hospital Medicine clinical work. His work has increasingly transitioned to hospital resiliency planning and cybersecurity after recognizing the need for robust downtime resiliency plans. In his current role with the UCSD Cybersecurity team, he applies his informatics expertise to strengthen healthcare systems against cyber-attacks, ensuring patient safety and operational continuity while maintaining his clinical duties as a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine.
