Dan Howard is a healthcare technology executive whose career began where it matters most — at the bedside. A Registered Nurse for 10 years specializing in pediatric and neonatal intensive care, Dan brings a rare clinical lens to IT leadership that shapes every initiative he drives.

Now serving as VP & CIO at San Ysidro Health, Dan has held CIO roles at the University of South Alabama Health System, Loma Linda University Health, and FIS, building a consistent record of clinical value enablement, digital transformation, and operational efficiency across complex health systems. At San Ysidro Health, he leads technology strategy and digital transformation or a nonprofit health systen with a focus on streamlining care delivery and improving the patient experience through innovation.

Dan holds an MBA with an emphasis in Information Management and Finance and is a Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) and Certified Digital Health Executive (CDH-E) through CHIME.
